Now the All blacks are going to truly live up to their nick name as their new adidas boots are totally black. This design will make them black from head to toe now. This new range called ‘Blackout” will be used by them in the rugby world Cup which will take place in this year. The ‘Blackout’ range has four different designs in total. They are called CrazyQuick Malice, Predator Incurza, FF80 Pro and finally the Kakari. Different designs should be used by the players of different positions.
Now a day using colorful boats has become a regular thing in every game like football and rugby. Now New Zealand has taken a stand against the regularity of bright color. Instead of using colorful boots like others they are going to live up to their nickname this season. The have collaborated with the adidas in the creating of the range ‘Blackout’ and in the Rugby World Cup of 2015 they will be black from head to toe. The four different models are specially engineered so that they can meet the specific demand of individual player. Richie McCaw, the captain of the All Blacks was closely involved with the adidas throughout the development process of these boots.
He has faith with each of the four designs and believes they will work perfectly to increase their efficiency in the game. He also admits that because of being part during the development process has given him more confidence and as he knows what he is wearing will help him perform better too. Senior Director of adidas Rugby Simon Cartwright says,
We believe Blackout boots make a strong and powerful statement, just like the All Blacks do every time they hit the field.'
He also added that the blackest ever and it was born from the idea that it is very intimidating experience for anyone to face the color black. He believes this will really give the All Black a very competitive edge against their opponents. The players of the All blacks are going to ‘break in’ the boots in the training before they wear them on the 15th august when they will take part in the second Bledisloe Cup test. Then will keep using them in the Rugby World Cup which will take place this autumn. Here are the details of the variations of boots and who are going are them.
Predator Incurza: This will be generally use by the fly-halves, full backs and other kickers. Players like Dan Carter will use this.
Crazyquick Malice: This design is very lightweight which is designed for centers, wingers or other fleet-footed players. Players like Israel Dagg will definitely use them.
FF80: This will be worn by the flankers. This has an additional stud on the toe which will provide some extra grip in scrums. Richie McCaw will be using it.
Kakari: this will be worn by players who are props & second-rows for additional support and power. Players like Sam Whitelock will be using it.
